Dan Newburg became a Christian after graduating high school in 2002. Dan married his wife Yvette in 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2007 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Before entering the ministry, Dan worked in various roles doing software design, development, and support at several companies. After the birth of his youngest daughter, Dan and his wife moved back "home" in the spring of 2015, and they began attending FBC Devine in the summer of that year. FBC's family-focused ministry drew them to attend and join the church. In November 2016, he surrendered to a call to ministry. He attended the San Antonio extension of Logsdon Seminary, where he obtained a Master of Divinity and became FBC Devine's pastor in 2020. Dan is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Baylor University's Truett Seminary.
In his free time, Dan enjoys time with his wife and daughters, traveling, outdoor activities, cooking, and coffee.
