Dan Newburg became a Christian as a senior in 2003. He then went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science in 2007 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He then worked in various roles doing software design, development, and support at IBM, Frost Bank, and USAA. After the birth of his youngest daughter, Dan and his wife moved back "home" in the spring of 2015, and we began attending FBC Devine in the summer of that year. They were drawn to FBC for its family-focused ministry. Soon after that he pursued a call to ministry. He attended the San Antonio extension of Logsdon Seminary where he obtained a Master of Divinity and then became the pastor of FBC Devine in 2020.
